Bookings can be made direct by phone and email or by completing the booking form, by doing so it is understood that you have accepted these terms and conditions.
The agreed rental includes;
As owners we will ensure;
- Gas, in Owl & Otter
- One large basket of logs, in Farm Cottage
- Free fishing on our private stretch of the river Fowey, an EA migratory fish rod licence will be required, available online or from the PO.
Your property is clean and in a well maintained condition
You are left to enjoy your holiday peacefully, please report if not
If you report an issue we will do our best to rectify whilst you are at Rivermead, if it involves a tradesman it may not be possible but we will keep you informed.
All portable electrical equipment is tested annually
The chimney in Farm Cottage is cleaned annually to minimise the risk of a chimney fire.
Fire regulations are met and smoke alarms tested weekly
Waste in the red eurobin is collected weekly and rubbish is not left outside the property.
Grass is cut, weather permittingAs a guest you agree to the following;
If bringing a dog they will not be allowed on furniture or left unattended. Dogs will be kept on a lead whilst around other properties but can run free once past the copper beech trees provided they do not bother other guests or the wildlife. Dogs are not permitted in Owl or Otter.
Animals, other than dogs, are not allowed.
You will not exceed the stated number of guests for the property, please refer to the website or ask the owners. If you arrive with guests that exceed the permitted numbers none of the party will be allowed access and no refund given.
Unless you accept full responsibility you will not allow members of your party under 16 to be unattended along the river or around the lake, the riverbank is undefined, is deep in places and can have a strong flow.
If wishing to fish, courtesy will be shown to other fishermen.
You will not light candles in the property, a torch is provided in the case of power failure
In line with legislation you will not smoke in any of the properties, ashtrays are provided on the bench sets outside your property. Use of any drugs are not permitted in the properties or in the grounds.
A booking will be provisionally held for 7 days if the holiday is more than 6 weeks away or 3 days if less than 6 weeks.
Unforeseen events happen and it may be that you will need to cancel your holiday, if you do not have travel insurance we ask that you consider buying it, via an independent insurance company, it does give peace of mind.
On receipt of a 20% deposit the owner will confirm the booking. The balance is due 4 weeks prior to arrival. Payment can be made by cheque made payable to Rivermead Farm or by bank transfer, please ask for details.
All monies paid are non refundable however if you need to cancel it may be possible to reschedule to a later date within the same holiday year so please contact the owners to discuss. If you do not wish to reschedule and the owners can re-let the week you will receive a total refund of 70%.
