Introducton
Rivermead Farm Cotages are located in the beautful Glynn Valley, just off the A38. Set in 17 acres with half a mile of private fishing rights on the River Fowey and a two acre Brown Trout lake.

The owners live on-site but may be out at tmes or working on the estate.

Car necessary.

Wheelchair users could stay in the cottage and sleep in the ground floor bedroom although the grounds would be difficult to negotiate by anyone with poor mobility.

There are communal laundry facilities located in the garage complex, down the slope from the Barn Apartments and near Farm co8age. Games, books, tourist information, chest freezer and fishing registers, scales and tea and coffee making facilities are also located here.

Holiday Rental Properties
There are 7 properties, Bluebell, Salmon, Kingfisher and Oaktree all located in the converted Barn and Farm Cottage, located further down the pathway and two lodges. All have electric heating and electric ovens/ hobs.

Farm Cottage – south facing
Sleeps 8 persons in:
1 Ground floor twin bedroom
1 First floor double bedroom
1 First floor twin bedroom
1 First floor bedroom accessed via a separate staircase through ground floor accommodation.
One 3’ single bed with an additional pull out 2’6” bed.
Cosy lounge with one Ekorness 3 seat sofa, four Ekorness swivel armchairs, one small rocking chair and a stool.
Log burning stove.
Kitchen/diner:
Large kitchen/diner with modern built in units and a large farmhouse table and chairs. Stable door which leads directly outside onto concrete path around the exterior of the building.

Pre ARRIVAL
We are located just off the A38, one and a half mile past Trago Mills, signposted Mount, Warleggan and Cardinham. Leaving the A38 at this exit you travel down into the dip, over the river bridge and up the hill until you see the sign Rivermead Farm Holiday Cottages on the left hand side. Travel down our private, leafy lane to the very end where you will see the holiday properties and the owners’ bungalow.

Accessible by car or bike.
The nearest mainline railway station is Bodmin Parkway, 3 miles west. Taxis are usually available at the station and we are happy to pick up guests by prior arrangement.

There are several taxi companies and bookings can be made in advance.

The nearest airport is Newquay, 18 miles west. Exeter is located north east and is approximately 57 miles, or one hour by car.

There are no nearby bus routes

The nearest shops are approximately 2 miles away at Trago Mills, with supermarkets in either Bodmin, 6miles or Liskeard, 7 miles.

We do accept well behaved dogs but they must not be left unattended in the properties or be allowed on the furniture or in bedrooms.

ARRIVAL, DEPARTURE AND CAR PARKING
Arrival from 4pm. Earlier arrival may be possible, please ring a couple of days prior to arrival.

Departure by 10am later departure may be possible please discuss with the owners.

Car Parking is available directly in front of Kingfisher, Oaktree, Salmon and Farm Cottage. Luggage etc can be offloaded, or passenger’s collected, at Bluebell’s door but we ask that you park your car in the car park located, down the 25m slope, in the additional car parking area.

Entrance to each property is via private entrance doors, please see individual apartment details.

PROPERTIES
No smoking is permitted inside any property.

Fire Escape Procedures are located in the information folders located in each property. A Fire Risk Assessment has been carried out and smoke detectors are checked weekly.

Each property has WiFi access and mobile reception is available in the complex.

GROUNDS
There are extensive 17 acre grounds of undulating levels. The pond and river can be accessed via grassland which slopes down to these areas or via earth steps either down through the woodland to the east of the properties or by the more direct, steeper, earth steps leading from the garage complex. Children must be supervised at all times when at the river or lake, the owners accept no responsibility. There are emergency buoyancy aids located around the estate.
